About Me:
What is it about a compliment that matters so much? Obviously, it means someone has noticed us. Not only has our effort been seen, but it has been considered of value. This helps us remember that we, too, are of value. It's not unusual to ponder one's value and purpose. Perhaps as we age, we spend even more time contemplation about the meaning of our lives. If we fail to believe that every life is filled with purpose, there is no better time than the present to correct that perception. We have had a mission. We may have missed the cues for right action on occasion, but another opportunity has always and will always present itself. Whether we get the credit we may deserve for fulfilling a particular aspect of our mission dosen't mean it has gone unnoticed. And patting ourselves on the back may be the reminder we need to pat someone else on the back, too.
Are You artist?
yes
If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Conceptual, Installation, Painting
Member type
Artist, Painter
How would you describe your style of art?
Simplistic, modern conteporary. With a Southwestern North American dash of flavor.
Describe your most recent work:
Also being a Muralist one canot pass up the opportunity of a blank canvas. More recently; my work was focused on a two week project creating a mural outside a lounge which looked out onto a 20' x 100' concrete slab. The theme was to give a visual enjoyment to staff of a medical professional group, anything, but a gray dreery wall. The conceptual drawing was in place creating a Southwestern U.S., scene. This being said, it took the form of a Spanish Hacienda; with adobe arch entry, a fountain which had a build up on the surface to create more of a three dimensional affect. A desert setting in the evening ; with lots of colors to enhance the visual perception of calm. (naturally a Boganvilla plant with fucia colors to enrich the visual impact!)
How do you decide on your subject matter?
My inspiration can come from anywhere today. Those who are closest are the obvious "carriers".

Hi Liam!
In the old days people would go visiting on a day like this. It's cold, miserable and wet. A nice cup of tea by the fire is called for, possibly with a neighbor or friend. So in this spirit I try the virtual version of this and just call in to see how you are doing and contemplate with you on life's ups and downs and merry-go-rounds.
