- Mike Celona is an American video artist and photographer who ever since the age of 5 when he began playing with camcorders has been interested in exploring the possibilities of media beyond it's traditional forms. His experimental work generally deals with the interplay between technology and nature as well as the effects of media messages on our collective psyche. In 2005 he graduated from Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts and in addition to his personal projects works as a film editor for Maslin Digital in Rochester, NY.

- How would you describe your style of art?
- I like to think that my work is pretty diverse but my videos are mostly abstract or surrealist compositions with ambient soundscapes and my photography is mostly documentary.
- Describe your most recent work:
- My last video entitled 'Drift' is a semi-abstract piece depicting a snowstorm meant to draw an analogy to what at the time was the run up to the impending shut off date for analogue television transmissions in the United States.
- How do you decide on your subject matter?
- I'm drawn mostly to subjects depicting the interaction of technology and nature either in harmony or one overwhelming the other.
