About Me:

I am a Brooklyn born Latina of Puerto Rican descent. A painter, poet and mixed media artist and blessed with the best of both worlds. With culture and family values being first and foremost I learned the discipline and appreciation of life.
It was with my family that I first learned to appreciate the importance of an artistic community. Being surrounded by so many creative people provided me with a nurturing artistic environment that encouraged me to explore and learn without boundaries.

How would you describe your style of art?

It's a fresstyle combination of fine art/culturally & spiritually urbanonic.

Describe your most recent work:

My most recent pieces were created for Women's History Month in March of 2009. It was a small 3 pieces canvazs mural depicting my cultural background. The banana leaves represented our nutrients, the mask represented traditions, the drums represented our love of rythm & music and the female image was painted in several shades that represented the many shades we come in.

How do you decide on your subject matter?

I never really sit an think about what i am going to work on, it just happens. I could be walking and all of a sudden something or someone inspires an idea or project.
