About Me:

I have been a professional writer most of my life, other than occasional sidetracks into smuggling, law enforcement, and other childish thrills. I've written for urban dailys and weeklies, top national (US) magazines, mail order catalogs, comedians, websites, and books...mostly about Mexico and Spanish. I had two syndicated columns in hip urban weeklies, both award winners, both widely admired and reviled.

I've edited a dozen publications, owned several, had a line of poetry titles, and was at one time a hot-shot mail order marketing exec.

In recent years I've turned more to scripts and novels. I have a TV series in development (which just means some Hollywood producers are trying to sell it instead of me) and am currently working to ready marketing in advance for the release of a couple of novels in 2008. (Or so they claim)

I worked as a photographer, mostly for magazines for several years.

I sculpt in miniature and make jewelry, generally using high speed drills on bone, ivory, hard wood, shell and stone.

I discovered web design and worked at that for awhile, but currently just design for my own pleasure and occaionally friends or people I work with.

My latest obsession if video. And worse, video poems.
