About Me:

I have been painting off and on for about 20 year, mostly off. Now that I am retired I spend the majority of the free time I have painting because I love to do it so much. I strive to let other people see the world thru my eyes and the way I see it. Not saying my view is right but I want to give everyone the opportunity to see some of the beauty I see.

How would you describe your style of art?

I would have to say that my style is Folk art becaue I have had no formal training and thus my use of colors and my method of brush strokes are not following any set pattern that has been established. I paint to please myself and the hope is that others will enjoy the way I see things also.

Describe your most recent work:

My most recent work was a painting of a cheetah in a very closeup image. The painting was 24"x32" and the main attraction to this image was to show the eyes and the beauty they hold. I think as a whole the painting came out very well and it took several layers to obtain the colors I was after.

How do you decide on your subject matter?

When I see something it will bring a picture to my mind and then I will try to capture it the way I see it which will not always be like the original but then again my goal is to show the world the way I see things and the beauty I see in it.
