How would you describe your style of art?

Realism,expressionism,impressionism and whatever 'ism' ,I dont really know for sure.. I just like to paint the world the way I would like to see it, full of colors and brilliant sunsets~!

Describe your most recent work:

A Man of Sorrows, based on a mural I completed 28 ft up on the peak of a church in Lock Haven. After digitally photographing it and putting it into my art software I repainted many details and enlarged some features to create several assorted framable prints.

How do you decide on your subject matter?

Whenever something crosses my mind, or I pass a scene that catches my eye, I try to create a painting that will remind me of what I see and then share it with others~

I love to paint the sea and country landscapes. I also like to do pen & ink illustrations of farms, towns, homes and lighthouses. I am one of 14 talented siblings and was born in Brooklyn NY and currently live in the countryside of Pa.
I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren ~!
I like to travel cross country soaking in the sites and trying to put them down on canvas and paper.This year I took a plane to be with my daughters as one gave birth. Quite a trip but now I am home again, painting and online~

David's Lighthouse is named after my son in law, a Marine serving in Iraq.The painting was digitally created from my imagination, depicting a New England style coastal lighthouse.I have had it printed into postcards notecards and ACEO's.
